Chin Implants & Reduction · Istanbul

The profile problem people blame on their nose.

A weak chin makes a normal nose look large and a neck look soft. A heavy or long chin unbalances the lower face in the other direction. Chin surgery corrects projection in either direction, and it is why experienced surgeons look at the whole profile before agreeing to operate on a nose alone.

Is this for you?

Chin surgery is the right conversation if…

…your chin sits well behind your lips in profile; your jawline blurs into your neck even though your weight is normal; you have been told a nose job alone will not balance your face; or your chin is long, heavy or asymmetric and dominates the lower face.

It is one of the most under-considered facial procedures. A great many people photograph their nose from the side because it bothers them, when the real imbalance is fifty millimetres lower.

Two directions

Add projection, or take it away

Chin implant

A shaped silicone implant placed through a hidden incision inside the mouth or under the chin, sized to your profile. Reversible, and it can be exchanged or removed later if you ever wish.

Sliding genioplasty

Your own jawbone is repositioned rather than an implant added. It suits larger corrections and cases where the chin must move in more than one direction.

Chin reduction

Bone and soft tissue reshaped to shorten or narrow a heavy chin, restoring proportion with the mid-face.

Chin with rhinoplasty

Very often planned together, because balancing both is what changes a profile rather than just changing a nose.

The right amount of projection is measured against your lips, nose and neck, not chosen from a menu. Your surgeon will show you the planned proportion on your own photographs before anything is decided.

About six days, fully looked after

Blood tests, profile analysis on your photographs, and the plan agreed.

3

Day 3: Surgery

Your operation and a night in hospital under observation.

4

Days 4–5

Hotel rest, soft diet, coordinator visits, swelling managed with cold compresses.

5

Day 6

Final check and clearance to fly, with aftercare and, where used, mouth-care instructions.

Recovery, honestly

What the weeks after really look like

  • Swelling under the chin is significant for the first week and hides the result completely. Judge nothing early.
  • If the incision is inside the mouth, you will be on a soft diet and rinsing after every meal for about a week.
  • Numbness of the chin and lower lip is common for weeks and occasionally months. It almost always resolves, and your surgeon will tell you the honest odds for your case.
  • Back to work in seven to ten days; contact sport waits six weeks.
  • The settled profile appears at two to three months.

Good questions to ask

Chin surgery, the honest answers

Implant or my own bone?
An implant is simpler, faster and reversible, and it suits most moderate cases. Moving your own bone suits larger corrections and avoids having anything foreign placed. Your surgeon will recommend one and explain why, and you are entitled to ask for that reasoning.
Can I have filler instead?
Filler can suggest a chin but cannot create real projection, and repeated filling of a weak chin gets expensive without ever solving it. If your case is mild, we will say so honestly.
Where is the scar?
Either inside the mouth, where there is no visible scar at all, or in the natural crease under the chin, where it is difficult to see once healed.
Will the implant move or need replacing?
Properly placed and fixed, it stays where it is put. It does not expire, and it can be removed or exchanged if you ever choose.
Should I do my nose at the same time?
Very often yes. Balancing chin and nose together is what changes a profile. Doing only the nose is the most common reason people feel their result is not what they imagined.
How do I get a price?
Send a clear profile photo and one from the front on WhatsApp. You get one all-inclusive quote and pay on the day of surgery.

Look at the whole profile, not just the nose.

Send us a side photo. Within about a day you will know whether your nose, your chin, or both is what actually needs attention.
