A missing tooth shouldn't change how you live.

Implants are the closest thing modern dentistry has to growing a tooth back: a titanium root fused with your own bone, crowned with a tooth that looks, feels and chews like the original.

Is this for you?

Implants are the right conversation if…

…you've lost a tooth (or several, or all) to decay, gum disease or an accident; a bridge or denture frustrates you; or a gap is changing how you chew, speak or smile. Even long-standing gaps and reduced bone are usually solvable, several implant types exist precisely for cases where bone has receded, and your assessment will say honestly what your jaw supports.

How it works

From gap to tooth

1

Assessment with 3D scanning

A full digital scan maps your bone and plans the exact implant position before anyone touches your mouth.

2

Placing the implant

The titanium root is placed under local anesthesia, most patients describe it as easier than an extraction.

3

The crown

Once the implant has fused with the bone, your permanent crown is fitted and matched to its neighbours, in the same trip (with a temporary meanwhile) or a second short visit. Your plan tells you before you book.

Replacing many teeth? Full-arch solutions restore an entire jaw on a small number of implants, a life-changing treatment we arrange regularly.

Recovery, honestly

What the days and months after look like

  • Expect soreness and swelling for a few days, manageable with standard painkillers.
  • Soft food for the first days, then a gradual return to everything.
  • The implant fuses with bone over the following months, silently, while you live normally.
  • With good hygiene and routine check-ups, implants commonly last decades.

I'd lived with a gap for years and hated it in every photo. The scan showed exactly what was possible, the placement was genuinely easier than the extraction that caused the gap, and now I forget which tooth isn't the original. Everything was arranged for me end to end.

Good questions to ask

Dental implants, the honest answers

Does getting an implant hurt?
The placement is done under local anaesthesia and most patients are surprised how uneventful it feels. A few days of soreness after is normal and manageable.
What if I've been told I don't have enough bone?
Often still solvable, different implant designs and bone-building techniques exist for exactly this. Send us your X-rays or scan; our specialists will give you a real answer, not a guess.
How long do implants last?
The titanium root can last a lifetime; crowns commonly serve 10–20 years before replacement. Daily hygiene and normal dental check-ups are the whole maintenance plan.
One trip or two?
It depends on how your bone heals and how many teeth we're replacing. Both paths are normal. We'll tell you honestly in your plan, never mid-treatment.
Can implants be rejected?
Titanium is biocompatible and true rejection is extremely rare. Failures, when they happen, usually trace to infection or smoking during healing, both of which your aftercare plan addresses directly.
