Breast Lift (Mastopexy) · Istanbul

The shape you remember. The confidence you miss.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding, weight changes, time, they change breast shape in ways no gym can reverse, because skin that has stretched doesn't spring back. A breast lift restores position, firmness and proportion, with a result that looks natural because it is your own breast, returned to where it belongs.

Is this for you?

A lift is the right conversation if…

…your breasts sit lower than they used to; nipples point downward; areolas have stretched while the breast has flattened; or the two sides have become noticeably different. If you're happy with your size and unhappy with the position, a lift, not implants, is usually the answer. Want more volume too? A lift combines beautifully with implants in a single surgery, and your surgeon will show you both options honestly.

Techniques

Only as much surgery as your result needs

Periareolar lift

For mild sagging: a discreet incision around the areola only, sometimes under local anesthesia, ~30–40 minutes, with the fastest recovery.

Vertical lift

For moderate sagging: reshapes the breast and repositions the nipple through an incision around the areola and down to the fold, 1–2 hours.

Anchor lift

For significant sagging: the most complete reshaping, able to restore even the most changed breasts, ~2 hours under general anesthesia.

The right technique follows from your degree of ptosis, a photo consultation gives you a reliable answer before you ever book a flight. A lift can also reduce stretched areolas in the same procedure.

Recovery, honestly

What the weeks after really look like

  • The first two weeks are the tender ones, swelling, bruising and altered nipple sensitivity are normal and temporary.
  • Non-physical work from about a week; lifting and sport wait several months (your surgeon will stage it for your technique).
  • Sleep on your back the first month; a support bra becomes your ally for the season.
  • Scars follow the technique (around the areola / vertical / anchor) and fade substantially over a year, we guide your scar care throughout.

★★★★★

After breastfeeding two babies I didn't recognise myself. I didn't want implants, just my old shape back. That's exactly what they gave me, and the scars are already fading. I only wish I'd done it sooner.

Good questions to ask

Breast lift, the honest answers

Do I need implants with my lift?
Only if you want more volume than you have. A lift alone restores position and firmness; implants add size. Many women discover a lift alone gives them exactly what they were missing, your surgeon will show you both honestly.
What is an "anchor" lift?
The most thorough technique, named for the shape of its incision line, around the areola, down, and along the breast fold. It's chosen when sagging is significant (nipple more than ~2 cm below the fold) and allows the fullest reshaping, including resizing areolas.
Can I breastfeed after a lift?
Usually yes, though any breast surgery can affect milk production. If more children are planned, tell your surgeon, and know that a future pregnancy may change the result, so many women schedule their lift after their family is complete.
What will the scars look like?
At first: fine red lines following your technique's incision. Over a year: thin, pale, and, around the areola especially, hard to spot. Genetics play a role; disciplined aftercare (which we manage with you) plays a bigger one.
When am I back to normal?
Gently normal within 4–5 days, working within a week or two, fully unrestricted at about 1.5–2 months, with the final settled shape emerging over 6–12 months.
