Facelift · Istanbul

Not a different face. Your face, a decade fresher.

The best facelifts are the ones nobody can point to, colleagues just say you look rested, happier, well. Modern techniques lift the deeper structures of the face, not just the skin, which is why the result looks natural and lasts around ten years.

A facelift is the right conversation if…

…the lower face has begun to sag along the jawline; deep folds have settled around the nose and mouth; the neck has lost its line; and creams, treatments and good sleep no longer make the difference they used to. Most facelift patients tell us the same thing: "I look tired even when I'm not." That's precisely what this surgery corrects.

Techniques

Lifted from the right layer

SMAS facelift

The modern standard: repositions the muscular layer beneath the skin, erasing jowls and deep nasolabial folds without the "pulled" look.

Deep plane facelift

The most comprehensive option, addressing face and neck as one structure for the most significant, longest-lasting rejuvenation.

Mid-face lift

Focused on the cheeks and under-eye area when that's where the change is needed.

Temporal lift

A small lift at the temple that raises the outer brow and opens the eye, through incisions hidden inside the hairline. Often the quiet fix when the eyes look heavy but the rest of the face does not need lifting.

Forehead lift

Raises a heavy forehead and softens deep horizontal lines, endoscopic where possible so the scars stay hidden in the hair. Frequently combined with eyelid surgery, because a low brow is often what makes the lids look heavy in the first place.

Mini facelift

A shorter operation for early jowling and mild laxity, with a smaller incision, less downtime and a result that is real but more modest. Right in your forties, rarely enough after sixty.

Face and neck lift

Face and neck treated as one unit, which is what most patients over fifty actually need. Lifting a face and leaving the neck untouched is the most common reason a result looks half finished.

Thread lift

A minimally invasive option for earlier, lighter corrections.

Facelifts combine naturally with eyelid surgery or fat transfer for a complete, harmonious refresh, one anesthesia, one recovery. Your surgeon will design what your face actually needs, and nothing it doesn't.

Your days in Istanbul

Eight days, comfortably managed

1

Day 1

Airport pick-up, hotel, rest.

2

Day 2: Surgery

Consultation and planning with your surgeon, pre-op checks, surgery. Two to three nights under medical care, comfort managed properly throughout.

3

Days 4–6

Quiet recovery at the hotel: swelling and tightness are normal and ease day by day. Your coordinator checks in; your surgeon is a message away.

4

Days 7–8

Stitches out, final examination, and clearance to fly, with a detailed at-home plan and scheduled photo follow-ups.

Recovery, honestly

What the weeks after really look like

  • Expect swelling and some bruising for the first two weeks, presentable with light makeup at around 10–14 days, video-call ready sooner.
  • Sleep on your back, slightly elevated, for the first weeks.
  • Desk work from 7–10 days; exercise waits 1–2 months.
  • Numbness or tightness in patches is normal and fades over weeks to months.
  • The final, settled result emerges at 3–6 months, and typically keeps you a decade ahead of the calendar.

★★★★★

I didn't want to look like a different person, just less tired. Nobody has guessed; they only say I look well-rested. Six months later it still makes me smile in the mirror. The whole trip was handled so calmly I never felt alone.

Good questions to ask

Facelift, the honest answers

Where are the incisions?
Hidden along the hairline and in the natural creases around the ear, sometimes with a small one under the chin for neck work. Healed, they're hard to find even when you look for them, hiding incisions well is a defining skill of facelift surgeons.
How long does the result last?
Around ten years for a full SMAS or deep-plane lift, the longest-lasting result in facial rejuvenation. You'll keep aging from your new starting point, not your old one.
Will I look "done"?
Not with modern deep-layer techniques, the windswept look came from old skin-only lifts. The goal (and the standard we match surgeons for) is you, rested: friends notice the difference without spotting the cause.
Am I too young / too old for this?
There's no fixed age, there's skin quality, health and goals. Lighter corrections (threads, mid-face) suit earlier changes; a full lift rewards more established ones. Health matters more than birthdays, and the consultation will tell you honestly what's right now versus later.
What are the risks?
Swelling, bruising and temporary numbness are expected parts of healing. Significant complications are uncommon with an experienced facial surgeon, full pre-op screening (we check heart, blood and health history before anyone operates) and proper aftercare, all standard in your package.
Can I combine it with eyelid surgery?
Very commonly, eyes and lower face age together, and treating both in one session gives the most harmonious result with a single recovery. Your surgeon will advise whether it serves your case.
