Buttock Lift · Istanbul

When the problem is loose skin, not lost volume.

A buttock lift is a different operation from a BBL. A BBL adds volume with transferred fat. A lift removes the skin that stopped holding its shape, usually after significant weight loss, and repositions what remains. In one technique your own removed tissue is kept and used as a natural internal filler, so the lift and the fullness happen in the same surgery.

Is this for you?

A buttock lift is the right conversation if…

…you have lost a lot of weight and the skin never followed; the shape sags rather than lacks volume; there is a fold where the buttock meets the thigh; or a previous fat transfer did not hold because there was no firm skin envelope to hold it. If you pinch the area and there is loose skin rather than emptiness, you are looking at a lift, not a BBL.

Many of our patients arrive after gastric sleeve or bypass surgery, sometimes ours. Excess skin is the honest price of a big weight loss, and this is the operation that finishes the job.

If what you actually want is more volume and your skin quality is good, read our Brazilian Butt Lift page instead. Photos on WhatsApp settle which one your body needs in a single conversation.

Two techniques

Lift alone, or lift that reuses your own tissue

Skin reduction lift

The surgeon removes the excess skin and lifts what remains, placing the scar high so it hides under underwear or a bikini. Right when the shape is good but the skin has given up.

Flap technique (auto-augmentation)

Instead of discarding the tissue removed during the tightening, the surgeon keeps it, folds it under and secures it as a natural internal filler. You get lift and fullness in one operation, using your own tissue, with nothing implanted and no fat harvested from elsewhere.

The flap technique is the reason many post-weight-loss patients do not need implants or a separate fat transfer. Which technique suits you depends on how much tissue there is to work with, and your surgeon decides that after examining you, not from a price list.

Recovery, honestly

What the weeks after really look like

  • Sitting is the awkward part. For the first weeks you will sit carefully and briefly, and your flight home is planned around that.
  • Compression garments are worn for weeks, not days. They are not optional; they are most of the reason the result settles cleanly.
  • Desk work at 3–4 weeks, sport and full effort at 6–8 weeks, returning gradually.
  • The scar sits high, hidden by underwear and most swimwear. It is red at first and fades to a pale line over roughly a year, with scar care from day one.
  • Final shape is a 3–6 month story as swelling resolves and tissue settles. We photograph your healing every two days until you are healed, and stay in touch once you are home.

Good questions to ask

Buttock lift, the honest answers

How is this different from a BBL?
A BBL adds volume by transferring your own fat, and it works when the skin is firm enough to hold the new shape. A buttock lift removes skin that has lost its elasticity and repositions what remains. After major weight loss, adding fat to loose skin usually disappoints, which is why the lift exists.
What is the flap technique exactly?
During a normal lift the tissue removed is discarded. In the flap technique the surgeon preserves that tissue, tucks it underneath and fixes it in place so it adds fullness from inside. Your own tissue, no implant, nothing taken from elsewhere on your body.
Where is the scar and how visible is it?
It runs horizontally across the upper buttock or lower back, positioned to sit under underwear and most swimwear. It is a real scar and we will not pretend otherwise: this operation trades a hidden line for a shape that clothes fit again.
Can it be combined with a tummy tuck or thigh lift?
Often yes, and for many post-weight-loss patients that combination is the plan. Combining extends the operation and the recovery, so the surgeon will tell you what is safe to do in one session and what is better staged.
Will the result last?
Yes, provided your weight stays stable. Significant weight regain or loss afterwards will change the result, which is why we ask that your weight has been steady for several months before surgery.
How do I get a price?
Send photos on WhatsApp and tell us your story, including how much weight you have lost. You get one all-inclusive quote covering surgery, hospital, hotel, transfers, interpreter and aftercare, and you pay on the day of surgery, not before.

One message, and an honest answer.

Send a few photos and tell us what changed. Within about a day you will know which technique suits you, why, and what the whole trip costs.
