A tummy tuck treats the front. After a very large weight loss the loose skin does not stop at the front, it continues round the flanks, across the back and over the buttocks. A 360 body lift addresses the whole circle in one operation, so the result matches all the way round instead of stopping at your sides.
…you have lost a very large amount of weight, by surgery or on your own, and skin now hangs at the front, the sides and the back; a tummy tuck alone would leave the back and flanks untouched and the difference visible; or you have already had a tummy tuck and the sides never matched.
This is the largest operation we coordinate and we treat it that way. It requires stable weight, good general health, a full hospital with intensive care available, and a realistic patient. If any of those is missing, the honest answer is to wait or to stage it, and we will give you that answer.
The circumferential core: abdomen, flanks, outer thighs and buttocks lifted in one continuous line, usually with muscle repair at the front.
The part a tummy tuck cannot reach. Rolls at the sides and lower back are removed and the line is carried round to meet the front.
A separate, higher correction for folds that sit across the bra line. It can be staged later or, in some cases, combined.
Where possible the surgeon uses the flap technique so the lift does not leave the buttocks flat, reusing your own tissue rather than adding an implant.
Not everyone should have the whole circle at once. Two well-planned stages are often safer than one very long operation, and a good surgeon will tell you that before you book, not after you arrive.
Airport pick-up, hotel, rest.
Full blood work and your in-person consultation. For an operation this size the surgeon confirms you are a safe candidate before anything is booked.
Your operation, then several nights in hospital with round-the-clock nursing.
Hospital recovery, drains managed and removed, daily surgeon checks, first supported walks.
Hotel recovery in compression garments, daily coordinator visits, breakfast brought to your room, gradually longer walks.
Final examination and clearance to fly, with a detailed aftercare plan and medication for home.
